From a young age, I always knew I wanted to build something of my own, something that made an impact.
At sixteen, while most people were still figuring out what they wanted to do, I was already running my first businesses. The first was a men's jewellery dropshipping store. I sourced products from China, carried out my own quality checks, and shipped orders directly to customers. It was far from perfect, but it taught me everything about e-commerce: sourcing, logistics, and most importantly, customer experience.
My second venture was a mug warmer brand. That one did not take off either. But both experiences gave me something far more valuable than profit: resilience and perspective.
At eighteen, I relocated to a small town in the North West of England, where my professional journey truly began. I joined one of the largest online retailers in the world, managing teams, developing projects, and gaining a front-row seat to the full end-to-end supply chain of a global business.
During that time, I also built three successful Shopify sites for independent clients, all of which I still manage today. Those early projects made me realise what I truly loved: helping businesses grow. I was not just building websites; I was building partnerships. Each client became part of a shared journey, where their success mattered just as much as mine.
At twenty, I moved to Manchester to work within the company's central logistics team. There, I learned the inner workings of inbound freight, data management, and operational efficiency, or sometimes, the lack of it. I saw how outdated processes and a reluctance to invest in automation slowed everything down. It was frustrating to watch a business with every resource available still be held back by inefficiency.
That frustration sparked something. That something was DOCKD. A platform designed to simplify supply chain and logistics operations. DOCKD became proof that innovation doesn't have to come from big corporations—it can come from people who have lived the problems first-hand and decide to build something better.
By May 2025, I joined a major online marketplace, bringing together years of experience across retail, logistics, and technology. But I wasn't just an employee—I was also building my own business on the side. Balancing my corporate role with entrepreneurial ventures, I began to see something bigger: the challenges I had witnessed weren't limited to large enterprises. Smaller businesses were facing the same struggles—cash flow constraints, limited access to technology, and barriers to growth.
That's when Montavire was born.
Almost immediately, two startup companies reached out. They had heard about my work and needed help developing solutions and achieving business growth. Working with them validated everything I believed about the power of the right partnership at the right time. Through tailored development solutions and strategic business guidance, I helped both companies achieve significant growth and reach their objectives.
These early successes crystallised what would become Montavire's core philosophy: great businesses don't fail because of bad ideas—they fail because of cash flow constraints and lack of access to the right technology solutions. I set out to change that.
